An introduction to Roto Frank TSH 30 Outward Opening Espagnolette System

The TSH-30 outward opening espagnolette system is completely integrated into the Roto NT modular family of components.

This enables an enormous diversity of variants with just a small number of components. Thus storage costs are reduced and a clear competitive advantage is created.

Furthermore, Roto is the only manufacturer to offer a handle locking point integrated in the espagnolette casing and the TurnPlus night ventilation function on its espagnolettes for outward opening windows.

The application range can be extended to as much as 2400 mm thanks to "intelligent coupling technology". The uniform cam height also eliminates the risk of a mix-up in the warehouse or during fabrication.

Enhanced security and sealing properties provided by the additional lock on the sides of the friction hinges. Windows equipped with TSH-30 espagnolettes are extremely resistant to burglar attack; they are highly energy efficient due to their high impermeability.

Roto is the first hardware producer to already carry out tests (on the "TSH 30") in line with the EN 1627-1630 standard that will be relevant in the future, in addition to the existing usual British Standard regulations. Furthermore, the version with a new generation of strikers improves security even more. The centre lock with reverse-action cams ("twin-cam" function) guarantees an even higher level of burglary protection. The principle: if one cam is tampered with, the other engages into the striker even more securely.

Properties of TSH 30

• Suitable for universal use with timber and PVC profiles. Can also be used with aluminium profiles with 9.3 mm (+0.7/-0.2 mm) euro-groove.
• High-quality, corrosion resistant Class 5 surface (in accordance with EN1670:2007).
• Application range from 244mm to 2400mm.
• Backset 20mm, 22mm or 25mm. Rear backset 7mm.
• Hardware travel of 18 + 9mm (9mm overturn for "TurnPlus" function).
• Perfect gasket compression and impermeability with adjustable eccentric mushroom cams.
• Uniform cam height.
• Tested in accordance with the EN standards 1627-1630.

TurnPlus Function

Searches for the optimal night ventilation position in the striker and swinging window sashes caused by gusts of wind are now a thing of the past with the Roto "TurnPlus" feature. Instead, convenient night ventilation is possible in two simple steps - and with a variable ventilation gap:

• Bring the handle into a 135 degree position.
• Press the sash outward - and you're done!

When the end position is reached, the cam automatically engages in the "TurnPlus" arm, securely fixing the sash in place even in windy conditions.

Twin Cam Locking System

Centre lock with Twin-Cam function: The Twin-Cam function is characterised by reverse-action cams: When an attempt is made to jemmy one of the two cams, the other cam grips into the striker even more firmly.

Single Cam Height

Unmistakeable: Uniform cam height. Advantages: reduced stock levels and the possibility of misfitting is eliminated.

A clear competitive advantage: The additional lock on the sides of the friction hinges increases security while at the same time providing for greater gasket compression and therefore higher impermeability, thus reducing energy consumption.
