DGS offer seven ranges of friction stay; Elite, Security, TriStay, Egress/EasiClean, Trade, the New Fire Escape Egress Stay with Child Restrictor. and the recently introduced Mega Stay.

DGS Friction Stays are suitable for use with most profiles and timber.

DGS quality and reliability is recognised everywhere; our friction stays are designed and manufactured under the quality standard ISO 9001:2000. In house testing is routinely carried out on all ranges up to 50,000 cycles (equivalent to 100 years use) and performance is further endorsed by the British Board of Agrément and BSI.

DGS is a supplier to and is specified by many local authorities.

All DGS friction hinges are made to be fitted with the minimum of effort and slotted fixing holes allow for the maximum of adjustment.

Window security, fire or emergency exit, child safety, easy cleaning and anti-corrosion: all come within their scope.

Our Friction Stays are suitable for use with most profiles and timber.

Many hinges are available in:

  • Standard 13mm stack height.
  • 15mm stack height.
  • 17mm stack height.
  • Ferritic or austenitic steel.
  • Various combinations.
  • Plus integrated restrictor available on 12" side hung and above
